41 Scholars Graduate from Anihan
You are all invited to come and join us for the graduation ceremonies of the forty-one Anihan scholars on 18 April 2008 in the Anihan Multi-purpose Hall.
These scholars are from the CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal & Quezon) area and belong to the lower-income sector. Anihan has helped them fulfill their dreams of being able to study after high school. They all received a full-tuition scholarship grant from Anihan and only had to pay for their personal expenses.
After graduation, these forty-one young women will be holders of a Two-Year Diploma in Food Service. Their skills training included 700 hours of on-the-job-training (OJT) in various food and food-related establishments such as The Palms Country Club, Tagaytay Highlands, Mt Malarayat Golf & Country Club, Conti's Pastry Shop and Restaurant, Craving's Bakeshop and Restaurant, The Good Earth Tea Room, Red Ribbon Bakeshop, and Vivere Suites, among others.
To the ANIHAN Class of 2008, CONGRATULATIONS!
Here's to always going onwards in pursuing your dreams!

ANIHAN Skills Exhibit: A Preview
Were you there?
On April 5, Anihan's second year scholars held a Cake Bazaar that showcased their skills in baking and cake decoration. Reservations for the cakes were made by patrons weeks ahead. The few unreserved ones were immediately taken as soon as they were brought out for display. The second year scholars, who will already be graduating on April 18, were overjoyed at the response to their efforts.
On the same day, Mediterranean flavors wafted through the Anihan halls as the school's first year scholars prepared and served a special Greek Lunch to the delight of their parents and guests.
It was one of the students' requirements for the skills program in Commercial Cooking (National Certificate II).
See the pictures and share in the feast!
Watch out for more mouth-watering cakes and exotic Greek dishes in the next post!
