Anihan Graduate is Taal Vista Hotel's Employee of the Month

Anihan Graduate Javell Ronquillo received the Employee of the Month award for February 2014 from Taal Vista Hotel. Javell graduated from Anihan in 2012.

While still an Anihan scholar, Javell did her on-the-job-training (OJT) at the Taal Vista Hotel together with Deanne Coro, another Anihan scholar. They performed so well that they were both offered employment at Taal Vista even before they had graduated.

Javell and Deanne have constantly proven their competence and dedication that even when they were still newly-hired at Taal Vista two years ago, they were already selected as part of the team to represent the hotel in the WOFEX 2012 Philippine Culinary Cup.

FPTI AWARDS ANIHAN SCHOOL DIRECTOR'S OUTSTANDING SERVICE

An important moment during Anihan’s 2014 Commencement Exercises was the awarding of a plaque of recognition to Ms. Macaria Javier, Anihan School Director.

After having been with Anihan for twenty-seven years, that is, since the beginning of Anihan, Ms. Javier has decided to officially retire this year.

L-R: Jane Pulido, FPTI BOT; Mila Araneta, FPTI Executive Director; Macaria "Kayang" Javier;
Rina Villegas, PAREF-Woodrose Executive Director (and first school director of Anihan);
Marites Yu, FPTI Vice-Chairman; Mary Anne Ruiz, FPTI Academic Director

The FPTI Board of Trustees awarded Ms. Javier with a plaque of recognition for her outstanding service. It reads:

"The Board of Trustees of The Foundation for Professional Training, Inc. presents this PLAQUE OF RECOGNITION to MACARIA V. JAVIER, School Director, for her 27 years of outstanding dedication and distinguished service to Anihan Technical School.

From 1987 when she began to help Anihan as a part-time faculty member, to the 1990’s when she fully devoted her time as an Anihan School Management Committee member; from 2005 when she was appointed School Director until this year, 2014, Ms. Javier constantly did her utmost and gave her best self to Anihan.

From the smallest project to the largest undertaking, Ms. Javier unstintingly dedicated her time and efforts to lead Anihan in pursuing its vision-mission of becoming a leading technical-vocational school for women in CALABARZON, contributing to nation-building by developing the capabilities of women, especially the less privileged.

Awarded this 7th day of March 2014, Calamba, Laguna, Philippines."

“Ms. K”, as we fondly call her, has been not only a dedicated school director, she has also been a mother to the staff and students of Anihan all these years. We will miss her a lot but we are also fortunate to enjoy her legacy of selfless and caring service in carrying out Anihan’s vision-mission.
