Anihan celebrates International Women's Month

March is International Women's Month and Anihan joins the world in celebrating the talents and achievements of all women.

Anihan students, together with some of their mentors, at the activity organized in lieu of the canceled "Jericho March for Life".

"Baby" Magazine editor Diane Uichanco with Sister Pilar Verzosa who started Pro-Life Philippines in the 1970's and has been its moving force since then.

This month, Anihan's women scholars will be having two very important activities:

  • The National Certificate II Assessment in Commercial Cooking and Food and Beverage Services: March 25-26, 2009. All technical-vocational students must pass this assessment in order to obtain the National Certificate which is so vital for good and well-placed employment. The Anihan scholars have been preparing for this especially in the past three weeks simultaneously with their on-the-job-training.
  • The Skills Exhibit: March 28, 2009. All first year students will be showcasing what they have learned so far by presenting a specially prepared lunch function. This year's batch has chosen Japanese cuisine for their theme.
Anihan works in solidarity with all women of the world as it continues to encourage and support its young women scholars from the marginalized sector!
